During the time we have been involved in this work, it has become very clear that there is a need for an email notification service to inform people of matters and situations that may be of interest to them and/or present service opportunities.

Recent events on which many have appreciated comment or suggested action have included:

- the 2004 South East Asia tsunami

- the death of Pope John Paul II and subsequent Papal Conclave

- one-off, significant astrological events

- topical commentaries written by our contributors that do not fit into the "full moon commentary" category but which we know will be of interest to many

- information relating to service activities of co-workers and members of the New Group of World Servers that may not be easy to obtain

- opportunities we hear of for group work, including online study groups, study/teaching resources etc

Often people have written to us asking how they can target their meditative efforts for world service during certain times, such as the tsunami tragedy, and asking for meditation formats. We can assist by quickly sending guidelines for group meditation to those on the mailing list.

We have also had requests for people to be notified when the website is updated with new commentaries.

Therefore, we have decided to establish a newsletter for the above purposes. While the volume of mail will be largely determined by the level of interest, it is expected to be light, perhaps about 1-4 emails per month.

The newsletter will be sent in HTML and may include attachments.

Your email address will not be used for any purpose other than the newsletter and will certainly not be forwarded to third parties.
