The Gemini and World Invocation Day 2011 meditation will occur in most places on Tuesday or Wednesday, the full moon of Gemini being Wednesday, June 15 at 8:15 pm UT, bringing the high interlude meditation of Aries, Taurus and Gemini, or Easter, Wesak and World Invocation Day to completion. The Tibetan's last Wesak message to his group was in 1948 when he hypothesized various world scenarios that might be likely to emerge in "The Coming Decades" (The Externatisation of the Hierarchy, pp. 638-648).
One possible future was "A world in which the United States proves itself to be the controlling factor….It will be a predominantly capitalistic world, run by several nations but headed by the United States…The motives of the United States are very mixed motives: greed of money … and at the same time sincerely good intentions for the establishment of freedom in a democratic world…Other motives are an appreciation of the armed fist and, at the same time, a longing for economic sharing and for that essential kindness which is such a strong American characteristic. These mixed motives will produce eventually a very confused world, one in which it will be found that humanity has learned very little as the result of the World War (1914-1945) and is acquiescent to the cycle of well-intentioned money control."
Another future scenario was, "A world divided into 'blocs'…Fear is the major factor…but it has in it nevertheless seeds of hope….The wrong factor comes in when they [blocs of nations] stand united against any other group of nations, and therefore against any other group of human beings. It is this attitude…which has [led] to the relatively new concept of blocs against. Along this line, and with this attitude of antagonistic groupings, only disaster can lie….Blocs in themselves can be good….Such blocs would be cultural and not militaristic, economic and not greedy, and they could provide a normal and progressive movement away from the separative nationalism of the past and towards the distant creation of the One World, and the One Humanity….but the time is not yet."
In his last Gemini letter, the Tibetan wrote of the externalization of the five ashrams of the planetary Heart center and the ashramic energy that they embodied as:
- K.H. and the energy of love-wisdom;
- Morya and the energy of will or power;
- Master R. and the energy of active intelligence;
- "the Master Who was responsible for the organisation of Labour," and the energy which produces order, and;
- D.K. himself and the energy of right human relations.
Given that the Arab Spring began as a new voice of youth wanting the opportunity to work and demonstrating non-violently for greater opportunity, we may, perhaps, find in this that the world labor market is beginning to reorganize and is in need of just the type of energy we include in our Gemini and World Invocation Day meditation, focusing as it does on the human center with its on-going creative need for reconstruction, restructuring and reorganization as we evolve.
We work in this third of the three festivals of the higher interlude with the triangle of energy generated at Wesak and its release into the human family where need is greatest or most ready for a stimulus of spiritual energy. Reorganizational work in the area of communications is proceeding at a rapid pace. Reorganization of labor is lagging behind in this era of union busting and increasing separation of the wealthy from the middle and lower socio-economic classes, and where workers take a salary cut when CEOs increase their already hefty bonuses.
The two major contributions that the Tibetan said were his most important were the teachings on the new group of world servers and the reappearance of the Christ, preceded by the externalization of the five ashramic groups. The group of world servers is a new concept to humanity. It is composed of world-focused people spread out over the world, is culturally diverse, and therefore truly representative of humanity. It is united in the will-to-good and the conviction that the better plan for humanity is based upon creating with light and love. As the Tibetan observed, we live in "armed armistice...in which science is prostituted to the art of destruction," and this appears to be as true today as it was then. The five nations of the Security Council are also the five leading arms manufacturers in the world: United States, United Kingdom, France, Russia and China. Their economies are based upon creating weapons of destruction and finding places to sell them-including ideological and behavioral warfare motivated all too often by the will-to-dominate and control instead of on the will-to-freedom.
As we build the antahkarana bridge between higher and lower mind we are also mindful of its counterpart, the "Science of Social Evolution (which is the joint or united antahkarana of humanity as a whole)" (The Rays and the Initiations, p. 470), when we visualize the working out of spiritual energies in the human family. We are also cognizant of the contributions of all those scientists whose meditation takes a different, 'non-spiritual' form than the esoteric. "All activity which drives the human being forward towards some form of development (physical, emotional, intuitional, and so forth) is essentially spiritual in nature and is indicative of the livingness of the inner divine entity" (The Rays and the Initiations p. 364). What joins these progressive people into a group is not uniformity of religion or philosophy; far from it. What unites them is a sense of relationship to one human family in a delicate web of life that all share, and "a quality of non-separateness." "Remember always that in doctrine and dogma, and in techniques and methods, they may differ widely from you, but in love of their fellowmen, in practical goodwill and in devotion to the establishment of right human relations they stand with you, they are your equals, and can probably teach you much" (The Externatisation of the Hierarchy, p. 641).
This is our 'immediate' long term focus then: to see the five energies of the ashrams working out in the reorganization of world structures and the advancement of social systems into a more equitable and therefore sustainable relationship within the human family and within the environment. This will one day become a new science in its own right, the Tibetan predicts. It will be called the science of invocation and evocation then (EXH, p. 470). This World Invocation Day/Gemini festival is a meditation on restructuring and reorganizing the very structures of human living along the evolutionary lines of the Great Invocation: light, love and purpose directed by the will-to-good and the will-to-love.
Let Light descend on Earth,
Let Love return to Earth,
Let purpose guide our will to good,
Let Light, Love and Power restore the Plan of Love and Light on Earth.
May the fire of love quicken your steps and light your way in co-creating this new and better age,
Joann S. Bakula
